That's not good. not good at all. Lowe Mill is already benefiting. It's already gone from alternative underground with the Flying Monkey Arts Center to above-ground with the Lowe Mill stuff aroudn it.

this happens againa and again ins city after city. The creative class risks going through and living in a rougher part of town, makes it more interesting and the new "cool" place to go and the upper crusts wants to kick out the pople who already live there? Let's not let Huntsville make the same mistake and instead work with people who need help instead of shuffling them off where some people dont' want to see them because it makes them "feel uncomforatble".

I really liked the cartoon in this post. Ignore the comments after as they don't have much relation to the actual cartoon.

When I was a kid, I always got him and George Plimpton mixed up. But then, I wasn't even in elementary school yet, so I think I can be forgiven that.

I always liked that William F. Buckley Jr. had a sense of humor about his own arrogance, long before The Shatner re-made himself doing the same thing.

And his kid does write some damn good books.

I left this comment at the last link:
"I live in Huntsville. It’s a great city, really. And Alabama is a great state. It’s just very unfortunate that the publicity we get is from our loudest, not necessarily brightest. And we have very, very bright people here, especially in Huntsville, the Rocket City.

That being said, the coincidences are way too much for these to be just theories. Again, NYT hasn’t owned WHNT since May2007. There’s a link in the comments to the Republican crony who does. Follow the money, think critically, and ask yourself who stands to gain.

Seigelman was definitely railroaded unjustly.

I don’t think he was a very good Governor, and Riley has surprised me in a actually being the best Republican governor this state could hope for. He is good for this state. His party and the current administration are and have been disasters for this country.

What bothers me the most is the attempt to dismiss this as one little station in a city in a state, when what’s going on has much farther reaching consequences. But Britney or a flash of Janet’s boob during the Superbowl or crimes in sports are more important and worthy of outrage and attention than crimes by our city, state and federal judiciary? Why the heck is that?

Thank goodness the internet hasn’t been locked down yet (but oh, how they are trying.)
